A hammerless check valve for reviewing reverse-flow prevention and transient-pressure behavior. Assess piping-system flow conditions together with installation orientation.

Selection criteria

Provide normal flow as well as pump stop/start conditions.

Evaluate the specific system rather than assuming that noise or surge will be eliminated in every installation.

Check actual pipe outside diameter, wall thickness and connection requirements. The same nominal size can correspond to different KS and ANSI outside diameters.

Review fluid, design pressure, temperature and gasket compatibility together.
